The ABMS Research and Education Foundation was featured in the September/October 2007 issue of Synergy, the official publication of the National Association of Medical Staff Services. The article discusses a new initiative called Improving Performance in Practice (IPIP) which focuses on improving the quality of patient care through a series of tools, systems and support.

ABMS Study on Effective Doctor-Patient Communication Featured on ABC.com >
The Research and Education Foundation of ABMS funded a study of effective doctor-patient communications as part of its 24 Member Boards Maintenance of Certification initiative to assure that doctors continually sharpen their skills and knowledge of their specialty. The research is published in the latest issue of the journal Archives of Internal Medicine by Gregory Makoul and his colleagues at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. This segment was featured on June 12, 2007.
