 Janet E. Simon, RN, MHSA
Program Director
Janet E. Simon joined the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in 2006 as program director of the ABMS Research and Education Foundation. One of her primary responsibilities is management of ABMS quality improvement programs funded by grants.
During her tenure, Simon has overseen multiple aspects of educational programs including Improving Performance in Practice (IPIP), a pilot initiative giving doctors the tools, systems and support needed to improve patient performance and patient health.
Simon is a registered nurse in the states of Wisconsin and Michigan. In addition, she is a certified educator and holds a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Michigan Public Health School in Ann Arbor.
