James O. Jahrling
Director of Information Services

James O. Jahrling joined the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in 2006 as director of Information Services.  In this position he directs the maintenance and enhancements of the unified database containing diplomate information from the ABMS Member Boards for timely distribution to consumers, physicians, professional organizations and others.  He also is responsible for supporting and enhancing the computing environment and network infrastructure for all internal and external ABMS clients.

Jahrling has more than 20 years of experience in computer technology and service management.  His background includes work in the manufacturing, investment banking, retail, education and medical sectors.  Jahrling was an instructor for college level computer courses and was also a high school administrator and mathematics instructor.  He received his MBA from Dominican University
