ABMS Distinguished Service Award Recipients

Established in 1986, the ABMS Distinguished Service Award is given each year to an individual who has significantly contributed to the broad field of medical specialty education as evidenced by leadership in organizations concerned with specialty education and certification; development of innovative approaches or methods to set standards and measure qualification and skills or publishing in the area of specialty certification or maintenance of certification. One or more awards are given each year, with the ABMS Board of Directors reviewing all nominations and making the selection(s). Previous award recipients include:
